Collecting News Sweet Sakura Bear, designed by Elena herself, has hit the stores in full force in Japan. Sweet Sakura is symbolic of the cherry blossoms in Japan and is a quiet and shy girl. Unfortunately, nothing new is being released (to our knowledge) in any English speaking parts of the world. | ||

Care Bear Cub

okay so theres been quite a bit of hype lately over newly discovered Colombian MLPS & someone mentioned that care bears were also made in Colombia. I have never seen one myself that was until I had another look at the tag on an ugly looking 'maverick' wish bear I bought a couple yrs back. It appears I may have one after all. I was just wondering if anyone else had a Colombian Bear or if anyone knew anything about them

I've not come across any Columbian care bears yet - but my sister runs one of the MLP boards and she's been telling me about all the hype with those! My mavericks are from Morocco, China, Korea and Thailand. Keep us posted on if you come across any more from Columbia and congrats

I have two South American bears (neither have tags so I cannot say where they are from exactly) Pic The care bears, mlp, and ssc was all released in the 80s in South America. Different factories produced bears according to pictures and colors from American Greetings and were not highly concerned with quality. The bears had the same symbols as those we are use to but that is where the similarities stop. Both the poseables and push made there were poor quality and had very little quality control to ensure proper colors and such. |
