Lil' Care Bear
|
These are my two latest plush customs...a new style Proud Heart beanie (made from an America Cares Bear) and a new style Oopsy Bear (made from a Good Luck Bear--by the look of the picture I'm wondering if I should have used Do Your Best????). I am very particular about having all the bear characters in beanie form, and I really wanted an Oopsy to go along with the rest!
He turned out okay, I guess, this was the first time I transplanted hair--and I do not recommend it! It was pretty difficult (for me anyhow!). I colored my Proud Heart beanie's hair with different colored sharpies--which worked really well. So, here they are, in the middle of the originals!

Those are AWESOME Courtney! Great job as always. How in the world did you manage Oopsy's hair?

Awesome work Courtney! I really like the Proud Heart beanie and Oopsy's symbol looks great on Good Luck Bear. He looks much better as a regular beanie then as one of the "new look" beanies. I still need to buy an Oopsie Beanie but now that I look at yours, I think I'd rather just have a custom Oopsy on Good Luck's body! |

Heh, Oopsy's symbol looks better on the Good Luck that it does on himself. And I really like that America Cares--that symbol is cooler than the more recent ones. Excellent work! |

Hair plugs for bears, of course! I actually had to cut open Oopsy's head and then cut the hair out...it was not a pretty site.
It was really hard to sew it on Good Luck too--I don't use a sewing machine (or even own one) and so the handstitching got a little intense, not to mention I had to work at some extremely akward angles. Definitely could have benefited from a thimble!

Wow Courtney, those customs are great! I giggled when I realized you transplanted the hair from Oopsy too, it looks really cute! I bet it wasn't easy. The new style Proud Heart is adorable, the tummy symbol is great - did you get it customized or was it something you found in a store? It's always fun to see your customs, Courtney! |
