It seemed only fair that if we ask people to post introductions so we can get to know them that those of us who have been here for a while do the same. Granted, we've already done this, but after almost 2 years, it seems like it makes sense to do it again so those who have joined after us "older" folks can get to know us. I guess I get to start. As most of you know my name is Henry and I'm 22 and from Port Charlotte, Florida. I'm a finance major at Gulf Coast University and I'll be graduating with my BA in Finance this spring. After that, I'll probably hang out an extra year and pick up a BA in Marketing as well. I'm currently a full time student which is another way of saying that I don't work. Most of my money comes from selling random stuff on ebay and other "profitable ventures". Since I'm here it's kinda obvious that I'm a care bears fan... was when I was little, forgot about them until my senior year in high school. They were almost like an escape for me during some really bad times involving my parents divorce. I grew up in Northern Michigan (Escanaba... anyone... anyone) and moved down here after I graduated... smartest thing I ever did. I love haning out with my friends, chilling at the beach (englewood ftw!!!), watching movies, video games, and I'm a huge Dave Matthews Fan. In the past I've worked as a Lifeguard and an Aquatics director and I usually spend my summers as an Aquatics Director at a boy scout camp in WI. Getting paid to sail, swim, and canoe... best job in the world!!! I guess that's it for me, let's hear from a few of our other veteran types. |

Me next! My name is Kristin, Im 27 years old, and I currently live in Middleburgh, NY with my wonderful fiance Marc. We've been together for almost 6 years and we have 5 kitties and a dog, an Akita named Tasha. I grew up in a small town called Boyertown, PA and I met my fiance online back in November 2001. We instantly clicked through emails and IMs and then met each other in person on November 17, 2001. I moved from PA to NY to be with him on New Year's Day 2002. We've been together ever since. I love collecting Care Bears, Cabbage Patch Kids, My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake, and some Rainbow Brite items. Hey guys, I'm Josefine and I live in northern Europe - Sweden, to be exact. I'm 27 and work with kids in my local church. I'm also the editor of our little paper and the webmaster of our website (nothing fancy though) I love reading and writing - I have a bachelor in comparative literature and am now getting started on the paper that will give me a bachelor in library and information science. I also love dogs & horses, interior design, movies, blogging/making friends online, shopping at flea markets etc. I live with my boyfriend of 10 years and I have a huge difficulty understanding time. |

Hi, I'm Christina, 22 and I live in Vancouver, Canada. I've retired from collecting Care Bears because I prefer the 80s version of them. I'm currently in my 4th year getting my Bachelor of Business Administration degree and majoring in Management. I hope to get my HR certification when I'm done with school in April 2008. I live 3 hours away from Seattle and hopefully will go there more frequently because of the great exchange rate.  I'm a big shopaholic and also love to watch NHL hockey. My favourite NHL hockey team is the Vancouver Canucks (since I live there). I'm not working right now but I worked for the Olympics during the summer as an office clerk. I gotta tell you that they waste a lot of the taxpayers money. Oh well... 3 more years til the 2010 Winter Olympics come to my city!!

Hello there!! My name is Amie and I'm 31 and aging fast.. lol. I have a husband who is 14 years my elder to whom I've been married to for 8 years (10 years together) and we have two beautiful young boys who are 5 years old and 6 weeks old. We also have a family member named Pippi who is our little princess Min Pin of 7 years. We're orginally from British Columbia but have been living in Alberta for the past four years and have just moved into the house we just built this past Spring. I am a mountain country girl and we try to go to the Rocky's and back home to BC a few times a year as Alberta is hilly, boring and flat..lol My husband supports my Care Bear habit  but does not care for them.  I love many things other than collecting Care Bears. I aslo love photography, crafts (sewing, cross stitching, scrapbooking, Stampin' Up), fishing, camping, hiking and golf. I try to spend a lot of my free time here on the Internet playing Pogo, shopping and selling on Ebay, hanging around the board here and spending quality net time with the wonderful friends from all over the world I have made along the way in the past three years. I have a diploma in Applied Business Technology and would love to go to school again someday, but for now my job is a stay at home mom which I enjoy very much.  I have done a few sideline jobs for other people like reprogramming their computers, making business programs and teaching people basic computer technology.

Hiya. I'm Brandi and I'm 21H. I live in Northern Kentucky, I wear shoes, have all my teeth and I don't speak with a southern accent, ya'll. I'm a recent college graduate with a degree in English and History. I'm taking my time looking for a job but in the meantime I work with my dad. I dig music and movies and graves. I'm also into pop culture, trivia, and I love watching the new fall season of TV. I love animals and have three cats, Leo, Gideon and Malachi and one dog, Jordan. I also care for some feral cats, strays and wild animals (like raccoons) that I find in my neighborhood. In real life I'm generally shy and a hermit. Here I'm much the same except I'm friendlier and pretend to shower, mostly. I miss talking to some of the people who posted above. Seems like I never "see" them anymore....whadup Vbear?
 And then some of the people above are a pain in the tukus. You know who you are. I like to tell jokes. Knock Knock. But I don't have much of a memory so that doesn't always go so well. Hi Eveyone! I'm Anicia, I'm 17 and from California. I'm currently finishing up my last year of high school, taking a few classes at Fresno State and working in an office three to four days a week. I'm pretty busy for the most part and when I'm not I'm with my boyfriend of about 2 years. My interests include Astrology, anything to do with the paranormal/unexplained, Animal rights, and of course care bears. I have four dogs [all poodles] and a Siamese cat who are my "children" and spoiled rotten. My favorite colors are Lime Green and Pink and I'm absolutely addicted to the show "Supernatural".I've been collecting care bears for about four years in all and I've been a part of the care bear community for maybe two or three years. My collection started as me acquiring bears randomly and eventually grew into the 200+ I have now. I'm on here fairly often so if anyone needs help or just wants to talk feel free to send me a pm. =) |

I'm working at a senrior's retirment and nurseing home/lodge as housekeeping at the laundromat; folding towels, aprons, bedsheets, and face cloths for bathroom and kitchen. Lets see..I'm pretty boring. I'm shy and quiet and because of that in person I often come across as being stuck up/snobby which is the exact opposite of how I am really. I typically get described as being too nice and I also seem to attract all the psychos of the world. My name is Sarah and I'm 24. As of Friday my address has changed to Lexington North Carolina. Now I just need to get my cable and internet turned on and I'll be great. I'm getting sick of sitting at Starbucks to get online. I grew up close to DC in northern VA and still have a lot of wonderful friends there, so I go back once or twice a year to catch up with all of them. For the past 10 years I've been stuck in Central Ohio where I went to Ohio University and got a BS in Early Childhood Education, meaning I can teacher preschool up to 3rd grade. Unfortunately there is a major lack of jobs in the area which is the reason for my moving over 400 miles away. Tomorrow morning I begin my new job as a K-1 Teacher here in NC. I'm very excited but also a little nervous as I am not completely sure what to expect. I love Care Bears (Grumpy Bear is obviously my fav), when my server is working properly I run the Kingdom of Caring Website that I've been doing since mid 2002. I have a massive care bear collection that consists of almost 2000 items. My most recent addition to that collection has been my Prize Bear. Sadly my new apartment is too small to hold the majority of my bears, so most have been left at my parents house in Ohio. My name is Andrea and I've been on the Care Bear Boards for a few years now... I don't remember how long actually. Oi... I live in Las Vegas, but grew up moving between here and Montana, but was born in Illinois... or Indiana... maybe I lived in Indiana. Anyway, it's confusing. I'm twenty-one years old and I'm working toward my Associate of Arts degree at CSN (one class left, woohoo!) and my Bachelor of Arts for Scenic Design at UNLV and I think I was told that I'm on the right track to get a Bachelor of Science without much more work... so that could be neat. I think I have a year of that nonsense left. I'm also pretty shy in person, but can talk up a storm on the internet. If you'd like to PM me, I think I'm okay to talk to. Hi I'm Lindsay and I'm 22 years old.
I'm a very friendly person and often have been told that I'm too nice. As many of you have said I tend to come off shy as well .. but once I get to know someone I open up and noticed as I'm getting older, I've opnened up a lot more and care less what others think of me. I always try to make light of every situation and try to make people laugh. I work with kids 2-3 years old and love my job. They can be so sweet and really make me laugh sometimes. I have a wonderful boyfriend named Dan.
I'm going to school for Graphic Design and LOVE art. You name it.. painting... drawing... card-making.. anything creative that's up my alley. I don't really collect care bears as much as I use to but am in no way ready to part with my collection.
I'm a very outdoorsey type person. I love baking and trying to cook new things when I have the time. I love music and I love just curling up and watching a movie. Ok you guys should have told me to stop. I'm rambling on and on!
