If you've got a question, look here before posting one or sending a frantic pm. If your question still isn't answered, then don't hesitate to ask! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How do I add a Picture to my signature? -In the "My Controls" menu (up at the top under the FoF Banner) -Click on "Edit Signature". -From here, enter the URL of your image between Code: `[IMG] and [/IMG]` How do I add a little phrase under my avatar? -This is a special privilege for members who get 1000 posts. -Hang around the board a while and you'll get there in no time! -Members caught doing excessive spamming will have their post counts lowered! How do I make my own avatar? -Just go to "My Controls", then "Edit Avatar Settings". -If you want to put up a picture from your computer, It has to be under 25K (if you aren't sure, right click the file and go to properties). -Bigger files can be linked to by entering the URL of the image in the "Enter a URL to an online avatar image" box. -Keep you avatars under 135x135 pixels! How do I resize a picture? -Open up your picture in paint or another image editing program. -In paint, go to Edit and choose Select All - then just grab it by the corner and make it a bit smaller. - Or in paint click on "Image" and then "Stretch/Skew". You can resize your picture using the Horizontal/Vertical" boxes. -If you're using a picture site like photobucket, then click on the "Edit" button. There should be a resize function there. How do I post pictures on the board? -Posting pictures is just like putting a picture in your signature. -Just put the URL of the image between Code: `[img] and [/img]` . -Keep your pictures down to 600x600 pixels please! I don't want to get email from the board -In the "My Controls" Menu, find "E-Mail Settings". -Here you can set all your preferences from no mail or make it so you're automatically subscribed to any topic you start or reply to. I can't see the whole board! -If you're new, you need to post an introduction topic in the Introductions Forum to see the rest of the forums. Don't be shy! We're all really nice. My post count doesn't go up in some forums. -Some forums don't add to your post count. These forums are: Play A Lot Special Occasions Why did my post get merged with another topic? -If you post a new topic that is similar to another, it'll get merged just to save space. -Try to look for existing topics you can post in before making your own, you might have to dig a bit. -Don't feel offended if your post is merged, we've only got a certain amount of server space! Why was my post deleted? -Posts will get deleted for rule breaking (please Read The Rules), posting the same topic in multiple forums, posting topics that already exist, spamming, posting just to say "LOL" "hahaha" "how cute" or other 1 or 2 word posts, and the biggest reason to have your post deleted is insulting members of this or any other board. - Please remember that this is a 'G' rated, family friendly board. MILD cursing is permitted, when absolutely necessary (sometimes cursing is the only way to get your feelings across), and it is ONLY allowed in the "Complaints And Ranting" forum. Who can I tell about issues with another member? -Talk to a Super Forest Ranger or the admin - GrumpyBear. The easiest way to avoid these conflicts is to respect each other and follow all of the board rules. I accidentally posted twice, what do I do? -Don't freak out. In the top, right corner of your post there are four buttons: "Report, Delete, Edit, and Quote". Delete the second post and edit your previous post. -If you cannot do this, just PM the Forest Ranger or Admin to have the duplicated post removed. When will my member rank change? -Rank is determined by the number of posts you've written. -Newbie: 0-5 posts -Heart Buddy: 6-50 posts -Star Buddy: 51-100 posts -Care Bear Cub: 101-500 posts -Lil' Care Bear: 501-1000 posts (is that the cutest title or what?!) -Care Bear In Training: 1001-4000 posts -Care Bear: 4001-7000 posts -Super Care Bear: 7001+ posts The board has a new theme but I still see the old images -Ctrl and F5 at the same time will refresh all the images. How can I get my user name changed? -PM GrumpyBear with your new screen name and reason for changing. Please keep in mind that changing your name is confusing to people you've already met on the board. -Most name changes will be permitted as long as there is a valid reason (ie. you had a typo when first registering or now that you're a member, you realize several people have very similar names to yours and you want something more unique!) -Inappropriate names will not be permitted, so don't ask! How do I change my email address? -In the "My Controls" menu, there's a button that says "Change my Email Address". -Just follow the instructions there. -If you get stuck just PM the admin. Can I use the smilies on myspace/msn/another website? -Nope. The members of this board made the smileys and they're for this board only. You could try to learn how to make your own though. Can you add a link to my website on the board? -Sure! If your site is apropriate for all ages, then PM GrumpyBear with a banner that is no more than 300px in width and exactly 50px in height. Don't forget the link to your site! The board shows the wrong time, what do I do? -In the "My Controls" menu, find the "Board Settings" button. Look up your time in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and set it. How can I add an event to the calendar? -Go to the Calendar. -On the bottom left-hand side is a link that says "Add New Event".
