Does anyone here collect Disney Pins?

Care Bear Cub Posts: 196 Group: Members Member #56 Joined: December 30, 2005	Hello! Do any of you collect Disney Pins? I've only been collecting for three months now but I've aquired about 20 or 30 from eBay. I haven't been to Disney since I've started collecting and I've never traded with anyone but I'm hoping to do so my next trip there.

I know that I'd never be able to get all the Pluto one's and that would drive me nuts, so I've stayed away. The only one I have is Pluto in France, and that's a special gift from Andrea. I know that Pin Trading can get pretty intensive at the park though.

Posts: 1,887 Group: Members Member #3 Joined: December 9, 2005	oh i collect disney pins. well, i've not been collecting the last couple months cuz it's so expensive. but i have a bunch of little mermaid ones. i also have some others meant for trading. what characters do you collect? if i have any that you need, i would sell them to you at the price i bought them for at disneyland + shipping. let me go find links. EDIT: here's a link for all my little mermaid pins. and here are my trades. but i'm not sure this is completely up-to-date.

Since I haven't been collecting that long and don't have that many pins, I do not have a very large collection or trade list. At the moment, I don't have the moeny to purchase any pins from you but I'll definetely consider trading or buying from you in the near future! Unregistered	Betty, you have so many pins! whoa I didn't know people collected those until I went to Disney World back in November. I saw people wearing them on lanyards and stuff, and I always wondered what they were doing! I think it's neat, but I can't afford to collect anything else

The employees wear random pins and you can trade with the employees to try and get different pins. Though with the employees they know how rare pins are so it can be hard to get certain pins from them.

Unregistered	Yeah I noticed that too! I was thinking...why are these kids constantly going up to these employees? Are they complimenting their pins?? I almost bought some...but I resisted!

Posts: 1,887 Group: Members Member #3 Joined: December 9, 2005	yeah, i discovered the pins when i went to disney world last june. i so much fun there. i traded with the cast members and bought all the little mermaid i could find. and then the obssession continued when i got home and i shopped on ebay for more. disneyland doesn't feel as fun with the pin trading. the cast members are not as nice. they'd be like "i already have that one on my lanyard." it's not like it's theirs to keep. they're supposed to trade them away. and way more cast members were wearing the lanyards at disney world. but yeah, i definitely went overboard with the pin collecting. that's why i have so many for trade/sell. i had to just stop all together to save money.

After the trip, I decided to collect pins and have been buying them on eBay. The next time I go to Disney though, I plan on trading.

Before I began collecting, my teacher told me about cast member pins and other special pins that got me interested in collecting. Before I hit eBay to start collecting some pins, I joined a board called Disboards and also visited Disney's Official Pin Trading Site to find out more information about them so when I do trade in the parks or with someone else, I'll know if the trade is equal on both sides. I wouldn't want to be scammed out of a good pin especially if it's LE or CM only pins.

I used to be BIG into pin collecting for almost a year & half... but I kinda gave it up, though I will still buy pins from time to time online or from people, but mainly not anymore. I will buy them when I goto the parks as well. I don't care much if they are limited or not, though I like some alot that are limited. I go for cuteness or characters I really love more. I NEED TO HAVE THIS PIN! Please... sell it to me or someone help me get one... that is TOO cute. I also love Chip'n'Dale & it is a must have pin I need. I need to see what others are in that collection... but the Mickey ice cream bars are one of my favorite foods to get everytime I goto the parks.
