Did anyone play this game. I had my deck stolen last year so I stopped playing. It came out in 96 and did not pick up big head way till about 02 i think. But Ygo became very popular once it was found very fast. It can be considered a 90's and new mill toy. I still watch the cartoon every now and then. I got sick of the american dub i stopped watching. I have to get them in japanese to get a decnt version. |

Oh yeah...I play this game hard core! I'm not one of the ones who paly becuase I'm a fan of the anime though...most of the cards that are played in the anime on a regular basis are absolute junk. I'm actually part of a team down here sponsered by a local cardshop...we're going to the regionals tournament in Tampa this march. What type of deck did you run? I've ran a bunch of decks, it usually changes when they change the list of restricted cards. Currently, I'm running a Strike Ninja/Remove from game deck. |

mine was a dragon deck with 3 blueeyes, red eyes black dragon, redeye darkness dragon black land firdray night serpant dragon and others along with crab turtle, buster blader and black lustar solider. if my deck had not been stolen i would have competed. i had fusion gate that was a sweet card along with magical cylinders and harpies feather duster. another of my cards was Ryu Ran and salamandra. |

I have a good deal of those cards and they are fairly inexpensive...to tell you the truth...I have way way too many cards... Let me look through what I have and I think I can build you and even better dragon deck. Blue eyes is a good card, but in most tournaments you can hardley ever keep two monsters availible to tribute for anything (unless you have some weird combo in your deck like strike ninja and three D.D. scout planes...). Give me a little while and I can crank out a deck list for a pretty good dragon deck that should be fairly inexpensive. |

Ok thanks. but there is nothing around here for me to compete and that deck took me 4 years to build. i had it right down to 50 cards. I was never taight how to properly duel as it is. I used to have a lot of cards and i accidently left most of them but my deck in england. I miss my deck i wish i could remember what i had in it. Cause i wanted that Blue eyes ultimate dragon. |

Okay...did a little brainstorming, and this is what I came up with for a dragon deck. It's probably a lot different than what you were running, but I don't like going over 40 cards very often...once in a while 41 or 42...but that's the most. Most of these have been reprinted as commons in the reprint sets, or were originally commons in one of the boosters sets. Scape goat is a starter deck holo from the Joey starter deck and King Dragon is a super rare from the Flaming Eternity set. Armed Dragon was an ultra in a set a while ago, but they reprinted it as a promo so you should be able to ebay it for between 5 and 10 bucks. Monsters-18 3x Spear Dragon 3x Luster Dragon 3x Masked Dragon Magician of Faith Sangan D.D. Warrior Lady Breaker The Magical Warrior 2x Armed Dragon LV5 Armed Dragon LV7 2x Fusiler Dragon Spells- 14 3x Smashing Ground/Fissure Lightning Vortex Dark Hole Swords of Revealing Light Heavy Storm Mystical Space Typhoon Nobleman of Crossout Snatch Steal Premature Burial Book of Moon Scapegoat Metamorphasis Traps-8 2x Sakuretsu Armor 2x Bottomless trap hole torrential tribute Call of the haunted 2x dust tornado Fusion Deck – Thousand Eyes Restrict Dark Balter the Terrible Reaper on the Nightmare Ryu Senshi King Dragon If you never really learned how to duel, look me up on aim sometime or drop me a line here. I've been into it pretty hardcore since about the second set came out. If you are looking for a place to duel around where you live, the two best places I've found to check into are Books a million and toys-r-us. Both have leagues that you can go to from time to time and are very non-competative. Great place to go for a casual duel (or to rip off noobs....if your into that...lol) |

the only problem with buster blader is that he only gets a boost for opponents dragons. Not sure about what people are playing where you are, but down here, I haven't seen a dragon deck in ages...with the exception of Horus decks...and those things are sick nasty. I'd run Magic Drain over jammer, magic jammer leads to having no cards in your hand...this is a bad bad thing. I'll try and post the deck I'm running in a bit... |

Buster is a good card...but you have to exploit it. You could use DNA transpant to turn all your opponents monsters to dragons, then use dragon capture jar to keep them from attacking...kinda out there for a combo though. This is what I'm running at the moment... 3x Strike Ninja 3x D.D. Scout Plane Sangan Breaker the Magical Warrior D.D. Warrior Lady Magician of Faith 2x Spirit Reaper Exarion Universe D.D. Survivor Exiled Force Jinzo 2x Blowback Dragon Dark Ruler Ha Des 3x Smashing ground Dark Hole Nobleman of Crossout Swords of Revealing Light Heavy Storm Mystical Space Typhoon Snatch Steal Premature Burial 2x Reinforcement of the Army Book of Moon Enemy Controller 2x Sakuretsu Armor 2x Bottomless trap hole Dust Tornado Call of the Haunted 3x Return from a Different Dimension The whole point of my deck right now is to get a Strike ninja fairly quickly (which is pretty easy with two reinforcement of the armys) and to use his effect to remove monsters in my graveyard from play...D.D. scout planes come back into play when they are removed, which allows me to use them as tributes over and over. Then, if I remove other stuff, I can bring it all back with Return froma different dimension and attack with an entire field full of monsters. Something really nasty that I can do with this deck, attack with a strike ninja, remove him during the battle phase and active Return, and attack with him again, and the two monsters that I removed to activate his effect...it's totally cheap. |

I used to run Harpies Feather duster...but when they released the first list of cards that were banned in Advanced format, harpies feather got banned...and hasn't gotten of the list since...
I used to run Just desserts too...That card was really cool in an all burn deck. Threw it in with cards like solar flare dragon, stealth bird, des koala, wave motion cannon, ceasefire. Pretty fun when you're playing a bunch of stall cards that keep your opponent from attacking...fun and annoying. |

my trick was load up my magic and trap field and get them worried and then load up my monster feild with my lower level cards and then start tributing. it worked 2 ut of 3 with me. i alway played my brother and he got scared when i loaded up my magic and trap field. I would porabaly get my butt stomped by anyone else. I never knew that about hapries feather duster. but then i only played my brother. |

this day and age, filling up your MT zone is usually a bad idea. There's a lot of cards that can clear your MT field pretty fast. Breaker kills one, MST and Dust tornado kill one, Heavy destroys everything, and my personal favorite is Mobius...when he is tributed for, he blows up two MTs on the field... I can see why it'd work for you...if someone did that too me first turn, I'd be a little curious too...I've seen people who run burn decks do that...and it usually works for them. |
